Office Hours with Maia Uhrich & Jeremy Galley: Housing Support

March 25, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

If you have questions about Housing Support, here’s an opportunity to get answers from Maia Uhrich and Jeremy Galley at DHS. Come with your questions about eligibility, income (earned and unearned), benefit amounts, program requirements, and anything else you’re wondering about.

What’s up with Office Hours?

While our standard 2 hour trainings are a meaningful way to give you information & help you grow in your role, we know this format doesn’t always work for everyone—some don’t have two hours to dedicate to a training, some want to go deeper than a typical training, some need brief 1:1 coaching/guidance.

Office Hours are meant to provide you with more immediate access to MESH trainers—less structure and lecture, more of a conversation with an expert.  There is no cost for Office Hours at this time.  You are invited to come for the whole hour & hear your peers’ questions being answered, or you can pop in for a time to ask a specific question which we will do our best to have time to answer.

To help Maia & Jeremy prepare for this event and our Office Hour approach, we are seeking specific questions, areas of interest/concern, scenarios, etc in advance of the event.  All questions & scenarios will be anonymous.  You can also ask a question day of. Please include on your registration (questions? contact Michele at events@mesh-mn.org.)

Presenter Bios: Maia Uhrich has Master of Social Work and Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. She has previously worked for Twin Cities Social Cohesion Initiative, a startup nonprofit focusing on how to build trust, goodwill, and resilience across the metro where she worked to involve all sectors of society in a concerted effort to address homelessness and housing instability. From there she went to Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis where she ran a harm reduction program for women and worked with a case load of clients using Housing Support. At DHS, Maia provides training, technical assistance, and quality assurance to Housing Support providers across the state. She also has an 8 month old baby (shout out to all the COVID mamas out there) and a 3 year old rescue mutt.

Jeremy Galley is a Housing Support Project Manager in the Housing Division at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Jeremy loves spreading the word about the Housing Support program and the unique role it can play in supporting housing access and stability for people in Minnesota.

How to register:  There is no cost for this opportunity but you must register.  You may register more than 1 person at a time and note the names in the space provided.  I will provide the Zoom link the day prior.
