Self-Care: Finding Value in Yourself Discovering Where You Can Let Go on ZOOM

March 10, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

There is a cost for this training.
CEUs offered: 2

Course Description:

Have you ever wondered why you continue doing something that you don’t enjoy?  For example, you can decorate a home beautifully yet find yourself in construction tearing down homes instead?

When was the last time you allowed yourself to truly listen to what brings you a sense of peace & joy and stopped long enough to ask yourself how can I find more of this?

At Real Life Real Talk, we don’t ask you to add more to your plate, we ask you to pay attention to what is already on your plate and discover what brings or gives you life and what depletes you or drains you.  We don’t say it will all go away, and you will be floating like a Unicorn from life, what we do believe is self-awareness is self-care, and finding ways of letting go of what no longer serves your path has benefits, not only for you but for those who you are connected to!

Presenter Bio:

Jean Loyd I have been a fierce advocate for the people I serve, working with the community and being employed to work with ages newborn to 101 has given me a greater lens of GRATITUDE and the shifts we experience in life this has been carried out through the work I’ve done for various nursing homes, schools, and housing programs As a Certified Nursing Assistant, Paraprofessional in Minneapolis Public Schools, Tutor in Teacher-Corp Ameri-Corp Program, Lead Teacher in Agape Childcare Center, Youth Program Coordinator at Emma’s Place in Maplewood, Youth, Family & Singles Advocate at Simpson Housing Services for 10+ this names a few of the places I’ve impacted and lives I’ve touched in addition, I have several volunteer hours.  I am a life-long student who has encountered hardship, loss and even heartbreak yet, I’ve also encountered amazingly wonderful people who’ve helped me along this journey called life, who gave me a helping hand when I needed it most, who spoke a kind word when I was feeling hopeless.

Why I do I work as a coach, group facilitator, as well as therapeutic massage because I know as advocates, as administrative staff, or whatever role you play working in the housing field, this work is not for the faint-hearted, you too maybe someone’s answer, however, you need to know your mental, emotional and spiritual health matter because YOU matter.  At Real Life Real Talk, LLC we help walk people through a path of what that looks like for YOU!

As a mother raising three amazing children who are now adults and being a grandmother to six, I too had to learn how to put myself in the picture of priority, to save my sanity and dignity
