Exploring Secondary Trauma and Compassion Fatigue
June 23 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Experiencing the lives of those with and for whom we work, via their narratives and actions, can take a significant toll on us as individuals. Being the “container” and supporting others through challenging times and experiences asks us develop ways to not only hold others, but ourselves as well.
In this workshop, we will explore secondary trauma & compassion fatigue, learning what they are, how they may manifest, and strategies we might engage with to nurture self and nourish our well-being so that we can continue to support others.
Presenter Bio: LaKesha Kimbrough is an experienced youth and family advocate, and warrior for racial and social justice and liberation. As a result of her commitment to healing and liberation, she recently founded LK Consulting & Coaching.
