Understanding Mainstream Resources for Continuum of Care Grantees – FULL

Course Description:

This training is designed for COC grantees by DHS and will provide a basic understanding of several public assistance programs – General Assistance (GA), food, Minnesota Supplemental Aid (MSA), Housing Support (formerly GRH), Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), Diversionary Work Program (DWP), and the Social Security programs.  This training will cover the edibility criteria and application process for the programs.  HUD wants Continuum of Care grantees to understand and assist clients in accessing all public assistance benefits in order to stabilize their housing situation. 

Presented By: Training staff are all Minnesota Department of Human Services staff who are experienced on the programs, eligibility and application process.
