Course Description:

In this line of work, working with people we are required to wear several hats, we may enjoy helping others yet there are dynamics and challenges that come with it. I believe in the importance of taking time to become aware of how this impacts us mentally, physically and spiritually.  “Thoughts are like children, they scream until they get your attention.”  In this discussion we will talk about how this field impacts us in these various areas and how we can honor who we are, while becoming aware of what we may need to continue this continuous journey called LIFE. This workshop is about looking at what is important to you and how you can bring more awareness of this into your life.

Presenter Bio:

“Staying curious about life possibilities, sitting with others holding space with them helps create space for healing to occur”. For 16+ years Jean Loyd has worked with Family Programs in the housing field. Prior to that she was at Minneapolis Public Schools and in Customer Service work.  Jean’s journey has expanded to how healing within our bodies through various modalities can address the stress and trauma’s we’ve experienced being human beings.  She is certified in Energy Medicine (Normandale Community College) and Thai Yoga Bodyworks Level 1 & 2 and Reiki (Devanadi Yoga) and studied Chi Nei Tsang which is an abdominal massage (Omsala School, Thailand).  Jean is currently a student of Therapeutic Massage (CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School & Clinic)

How to register:  Registration below is broken into Member & Non-Member.  If you are unsure whether you are part of a member organization or would like more information about membership, please contact Michele.  If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be walked through payment process and receive an automated email confirming your payment and registration.  If you choose to pay by check, you will receive an invoice from MESH.  Payment is expected prior to training date.  Please contact Michele if scholarship help is needed.  You may register more than 1 person at a time and note the names in the space provided.  I will send out the Zoom link to participants the day prior to the training.
